Sustainability is about so much more than energy efficiency and our fully considered approach encompasses the many complex and interrelated aspects of sustainable design, including site location and orientation; fabric performance and energy consumption; minimising construction waste; the environmental impact of materials; inclusivity and accessibility; safe and secure routes and spaces; connectivity and access to employment; services and public transport, not to mention the management of the environmental impact arising from our day to day business activity.

Clearly, these factors must be considered from the outset of the design process in order to ensure that the fundamental principles of sustainable design are fully integrated into the form and fabric of our architecture so that it is robust, adaptable to change and less reliant on energy consumption for heating or cooling.
